The African Union Peace and Security Council held its 525th Meeting in Addis Ababa Ethiopia on 23rd July 2015, the council stressed the need for an AU framework on national peace, reconciliation, and justice, building on relevant instruments, such as the AU Policy Framework on Post-Conflict, Reconstruction and Development. The Council recommended an immediate adoption of the AU Transitional Justice Policy
Framework, as recommended by the Panel of the Wise.
