Guinea adopted its first-generation National Action Plan (NAP) in 2009 for the period 2009-2013. The NAP was jointly developed by the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Women and Childhood Protection. The National Action Plan speaks to 5 priority areas of intervention which the Involvement of women and ggirls in peace processes as well as prevention, managemnt and conflict resolution, Mainstream gender into development policies and programs, protection of women and girls from sexual and gender based violence and femal genetal mutilation, strengthening of women integration in deceision making processes, strengthening state intervention.
