Côte d’Ivoire National Action Plan

Côte d’Ivoire adopted its first-generation National Action Plan (NAP) in 2008 for 2008-2012. The NAP was jointly developed by the Ministry of Family, Women. This National Action Plan focuses on four priority areas: the protection of women and girls against sexual violence; the inclusion of gender considerations in development policies and programs; the participation of women and men in the reconstruction and national reinsertion processes; and strengthening of the participation of women in the decision-making processes. This NAP includes a budget to ensure that activities are carried out and its impact will be monitored through progress meetings.
